Unacceptable. (City 0, Birmingham City 0)

13 November 2010

In a season already full of poor results, this was unquestionably the worst, failing to score a single goal against a poor opposition defense and dropping points at home against one of the worst away sides in the Premier League. As a matter of fact, City only really tested the Birmingham defense twice — once on the very suspect handball call on Carlos Tévez that wiped out a goal, and the other on James Milner’s foray forward early in the second half. All that money spent and City’s attack looks impotent. Infuriating.

The fans in attendance at Eastlands vented their spleens at the final whistle, and with good reason. With just one sorry win in their last six — SIX!!! — matches, City are a side in embarrassing free fall. The media reports of Mancini being on the hot seat may have been fabrications in the past, but he certainly should be now.

For the sake of my health, I think it’s time I took a break. I found myself fighting off road rage on the way home from The Banshee and am still resisting the urge to destroy something. Sorry Glockner, our Goalless Draw derby will have to happen another time.
